Milwaukee — A 10-year-old has been charged after he was accused of shooting his own mother through a virtual reality headset.
Prosecutors said the boy pulled the trigger last month in the basement of his home near 87th Street and Magnolia in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

They said the boy told police he was angry that his mother, Quiana Mann, woke him up early on November 21 and refused to buy him an Amazon virtual reality headset.
On Thursday, the boy appeared virtually at a juvenile detention center in Milwaukee, where a judge hid his face.
The judge had previously set the boy’s bail at $50,000, but his public defenders said they wanted to lower that amount.
